Before one can write, one must read. The ability to read is a skill that must not be taken lightly. The first few steps in learning a language is reading just anything! From storybooks to magazines to novels, you can immerse your whole being into the book at the same time pick up a new word or two. The magic of reading is one that could not be explained but needs to be experienced.

With the rise of technology, books and other materials can be read through the internet and online software such as Google Books, Wattpad, Goodreads etc. These are called e-books and are highly popular among the youths.
Instagram is a social media application that can be downloaded into mobile phones, tablets and even used in a browser. Statistically, it is used daily among teenagers and young adults to share their daily experiences, talents, pictures and videos to the world. By using Instagram as one of the platforms to read, teenagers will be more than happy to open their Instagram profile during class and read in the target language. Knowing that, we can use this social platform to increase their reading proficiency and let them enjoy their time in class.

Canva is a lovely designing software curated for professional and non-professional graphic designing users. Your lesson requires you to create a kitchen menu? Canva has hundreds of templates to aid you in your creation. What we love about Canva is that there are many free features to be used and it does not limit creativity at all!
